NDIS pricing review 2027–28: what providers and the disability workforce are being asked
The National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) opened consultation for its 2027–28 Annual Pricing Review on 17 September 2026. Participants, providers and the wider disability community can contribute until 1 November 2026. The review will inform recommendations about NDIS prices and pricing arrangements for the 2027–28 financial year. It is a consultation: no pricing outcome has been decided.
What the review covers
The NDIA says the review will consider whether current pricing arrangements support access to quality services, participant outcomes and provider viability. It will look more closely at several commonly claimed supports, including disability support worker-related supports, Supported Independent Living (SIL), therapy, social and community participation, and support coordination.
What providers are being asked
Provider consultation includes workforce, compliance costs, overhead costs and service-delivery models. These topics matter for workforce planning because providers need to understand the full cost of recruiting, onboarding, supervising and retaining capable staff. However, the consultation announcement does not establish that any particular price, wage, margin or employment setting will change.

What participants are being asked
Participants are being asked about provider preferences and their experience of quality, value for money and access to NDIS supports. What this means for workers
For disability support workers, allied health professionals and support coordinators, this review is important context rather than a confirmed change to employment conditions. Pricing arrangements can influence how services are organised, but it is too early to draw conclusions about roles, vacancies or pay. Employment conditions and minimum entitlements remain governed by applicable workplace laws, awards, agreements and individual contracts.
